Internet Leased Line service charges reduced

Tariff for Internet Leased Line service has been revised as follows with effect from December 1, 2006:

The following discount is available on the above tariff:

a. Loyalty discount: This discount is available from the second year after the implementation of the revised tariff and may be allowed at the rate of 2.5 per cent.

b. Discount to recognised educational institutions: The following discount is available to educational institutions:

The other terms and conditions are as follows:

i. Initial charges of Rs 1,000 will be levied on a one time basis.

ii. There is no security deposit.

iii. The above charges also include local lead charges if local lead is provided on existing media within the local area. If the customer is not included in the local telephone system, actual local charges will be levied. However, in all such cases, 50 per cent discount on local lead charges will be applicable for bandwidth of 2 Mbps and above.

iv. Local lead charges will not be applicable for ISPs for bandwidth of 8 Mbps and above.

v. There is no tariff for 1:4 customers of 64 Kbps and 128 Kbps.
