Call forwarding on CellOne/PSTN/WLL

Call forwarding is a facility which enables you to forward your calls on a fixed-line or cell phone, thereby enabling someone else to see the messages on your behalf. This feature is especially handy for those who are busy in meetings or have switched off their cell phones. Another advantage is that you can forward an incoming call even while speaking to someone on the phone.

If you are a subscriber to CellOne - BSNLís mobile phone service Ė then you can activate the call forwarding facility either by using the menu function of your cell phone or by using the codes mentioned below.

Using the menu function, you can activate the call forwarding facility for the following four options:

All calls forwarded are billed the same way a regular call is billed. However, calls forwarded to the CellOne Voice Mail are not charged for airtime.

The procedure for various call forwarding options is as follows:

While entering a cellular number, you should enter the international code before the number, for instance, in India, if you are entering 98110xxxxx, enter +9198110xxxxx.

BSNL is also offering call forwarding services in its PSTN/WLL network under the Phone Plus Facility. If you are a BSNL subscriber under this network, in order to activate the call forwarding facility, dial 114 followed by the telephone number to which you are transferring the call. You will get an acceptance tone as confirmation. Dial 115 to deactivate the facility. Here too, you will get an acceptance tone as confirmation.
