BSNL,Hyderabad releases telephone directory 2004

 

Partnering with Indiacom Limited, Pune, BSNL, Hyderabad released this year’s Hyderabad Telephone Directory and Yellow Pages – 2004.

 

Launching the two volumes of print edition at a press meet held on March 31, '04 in Hyderabad, Shri Sanjaya Kumar, CGM, AP Telecom Circle emphasized on the importance of  the telephone directory, saying that it should not just be confined to the subscriber but should also be accessible and utilized by others as well.

 

Launching the CD version of the Directory and Yellow Pages, Shri C Goverdhan, PGM, Hyderabad Telecom District spoke about the earlier phases of publishing a telephone directory and the emergence of user-friendly and innovative Directories.

 

BSNL’s partnership with M/s Indiacom Limited endeavours to publish Telephone Directories for five consecutive years, starting from 2004.

 

Compiled in a short span of time, this year’s Hyderabad Telephone Directory with Indiacom Yellow Pages is published in a user-friendly format. However the highlight happens to be the segmentation of the directory into Residential and Business volumes. This ensures easy reference.

 

The Business Volume available with Yellow Pages, consists of  the numbers of 85,000 customers including listings of about 3,400 limited companies and 5.800 private limited companies. Also included in the Yellow Pages, are 350 new categories. The Directory also contains brief information pertaining to services offered by BSNL Hyderabad, locations of customer service centers and phone numbers of public utility services.

 

Besides the print edition, Hyderabad Telephone Directory CD is also available to customers. Updated till 01-01-2004, the complete data of the Directory can also be accessed on www.telephonedirectoryindia.com. One can log onto www.Indiacom.com to check Yellow Pages. 

 

The copies of Telephone Directories shall be available in SDOP offices, specified JTO zonal offices, CTOs, DTOs and Customer Service Centres, from 19-04-2004 onwards. Customers have to produce the latest receipt of their telephone bill before collecting the Directory.

 

Elaborating on the features of the directory, Ashok Mandore, MD, Indiacom Ltd opined that the Directory is more than just a reference book. He also affirmed that special efforts have been taken to bring out a highly informative edition.
